This is a Belimo 2-way characterized ball valve with a nickel-plated brass housing and EPDM sealing. The bore diameter of the valve is DN 15 and the port size is Rp 1/2 inch with female threads. With its integrated characterizing disc, it ensures equal percentage flow control, enabling precise and consistent regulation of fluid flow. The maximum pressure differential is 3.5 bar (50.8 psi). The valve can operate between -10 and 120 °C (14 to 248 °F). The Kv value of the valve is 1.6 m3/h, equivalent to a Cv-value of 1.85 gpm. The actuator requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC. The modulating actuator is requires a 2-10 V input and offers position feedback, ensuring precise control over its operation and accurate monitoring of its position within the designated voltage range. The actuator opens/closes the valve in 150 seconds. The actuator has an IP54 rating. The actuator is equipped with a fail-safe (NC) feature that ensures safe operation in the event of a power failure.
The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn’t need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. The valve can be manually operated and secured in any position using a hand crank. Unlocking can be done manually or automatically by applying the operating voltage. The actuator can be directly mounted on the ball valve using a single screw. The mounting orientation relative to the ball valve can be chosen in 90° increments. The actuator can be controlled to a standard 0-10 V control signal. Simultaneously, the actuator moves the valve to the operational position while also engaging the return spring. If the supply voltage is interrupted, the spring’s force reverts the valve back to its fail-safe position. The rotation angle can be adjusted with mechanical end stops.
