This is a Belimo 2-way globe valve with a coated cast iron housing and EPDM sealing. The bore diameter of the valve is DN 80 and the flange size is DN 80. The valve cone features an equipercentual characteristic according to VDI/VDE 2173, optimized within its opening range. The maximum pressure differential is 0.8 bar (11.6 psi). The valve can operate between 5 and 120 °C (41 to 248 °F). The Kv value of the valve is 90 m3/h, equivalent to a Cv-value of 104.13 gpm. The valve’s stroke length is 18 mm. The actuator requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC. The actuator utilizes the MP-Bus communication protocol and provides position feedback in the range of 0-10 V or 2-10 V, allowing for precise control and accurate monitoring of its position within the specified voltage range. The actuator opens/closes the valve in 150 seconds. The actuator has an IP54 rating.
The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn’t need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible with a push-button, which disengages the gear train for as long as the button is pressed or locked. The stroke can be adjusted using a 4mm hexagon socket screw key inserted at the actuator’s top, with the stroke shaft extending when turned clockwise. The actuator can be directly mounted on the globe valve using form-fit hollow clamping jaws and it can be rotated 360° on the valve neck. The actuator connects with a 0-10 V control signal and moves to the position defined by the signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. In bus operation, the actuator receives its digital control signal from the upper-level controller via the MP-Bus and moves to the defined position. The U connection serves as a communication interface without providing an analog measuring voltage. The default factory setting retracts the actuator stem.
